Evan had a rather unorthodox beginning to his career. Raised in Chili, NY and attending Churchville-Chili High School, Evan never participated in any sports outside gym class (his mile PR was 10:34 from 7th grade gym class), nor did he have any interest in sports. When he began attending Roberts Wesleyan University in Fall 2020, he quickly made friends with the cross country runners in his dorm and began to fall in love with the team atmosphere. As he began training in March 2021, he dreamed of being teammates alongside his friends, and started falling in love with the sport. He trained on his own throughout sophomore year until he was eventually accepted onto the team as a walk-on beginning his junior year. He improved greatly over three years on the team, finding surprising success in the 800m. His success story has been a way to inspire many through dedication and consistency. He graduated in his fifth year in May 2025 with a double major in Computer Science and Exercise Science. He hopes to continue training and improving and has already set multiple PRs since graduating.
